Connecting to San Francisco from the Central ValleyÂ

BART to San Francisco 
If this is your first time catching BART, it’s advisable to download the Clipper app to your phone and add funds prior to your trip. After boarding the BART blue line at the West Dublin/Pleasanton Station, it’s about a 40-minute ride into downtown San Francisco. Once downtown, you’ll find yourself surrounded by all of things that make San Francisco a top tier destination city, a vast array of food, shopping, theater, historic landmarks like the TransAmerica building and so much more. Exploring some of San Francisco can be done on foot once leaving the BART station. To reach other neighborhoods or parts of the city, including Golden Gate Park, this can be done via transfers to SF MUNI, which also accepts Clipper as a form of payment. Passengers continuing on to SFO will want to transfer over to the red or yellow line at Daily City to continue on to the airport. Â
