POINTS OF INTEREST
THE
TECH MUSEUM
The Tech is singularly focused on inspiring the innovator in everyone
it reaches. An expansive variety of interactive exhibits and unique
floor programs showcase not just how technology works but how it
affects who we are and how we live. The Tech's 132,000 square feet are
divided among five themed galleries focused on Silicon Valley
innovations, the internet, the relationship between technology and
human performance, and exploration including space and deep sea. The
Hackworth IMAX Dome Theater and various unique museum programs make a
visit to the bright, mango-colored Tech one you won't soon forget.
CHILDREN’S
DISCOVERY MUSEUM
Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose is a hands-on museum with over
150 interactive exhibits and programs that provide children an
opportunity to touch, explore and investigate the exhibits that they
see around them. Its educational mission encompasses the themes of
Connections, Community, and Creativity. In its unique environment,
children actively make connections among ideas, people and cultures.
Children's Discovery Museum has been named by Child Magazine as one of
the Top 10 Children's Museums in the nation.
THE
ROSICRUCIAN EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum houses the largest collection of
Egyptian artifacts on exhibit in the western United States—including
objects from pre-dynastic times through Egypt’s early Islamic era.
Students pinpoint Egypt’s geographic location and discover the crucial
importance of the Nile River as a catalyst for Egyptian civilization.
Students will learn about the mummification process, tour a replica of
a rock-cut tomb, crack the mysteries of hieroglyphs, learn about the
kings and queens, and meet the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt.
The museum offers thematic tours designed to meet the standards set by
the California State Frameworks for History-Social Science geared for
the sixth grade curriculum.
PARAMOUNT’S GREAT AMERICA
Physics, Science, and Math Days offer elementary, middle and high
school students a chance to discover the “thrill” of learning as they
apply scientific and mathematical principles to the real-world rides
and attractions at Paramount's Great America. PGA offers the only
exclusive, students-only Physics, Science, & Math Day at any theme
park in California. For over 20 years PGA has been thrilling students
and teachers alike with hands on learning that bring the concepts of
the classroom to life in the 100-acre theme park. A mix of hands-on
experimentation and hands-up-in-the-air fun turns Northern
California's largest family entertainment center into the area's
largest hands-on learning lab. Other exciting PGA events include: GRAD
Parties, Performing Arts Day, Gospel X-plosion Competition, USA Drill
Team Competition, and USA Cheerleading Competitions.

"Our 8th grade students have been riding ACE to Great America for the
last six years. I appreciate the accommodations you made to assure
that our trip was safe and pleasant. Some of our students are more
excited about the trip on the train than the day at the park.
Thank you and we hope to continue this partnership as long as the
train runs!" Frank Souza
